Storytelling

Gregorio effortlessly blends English and Spanish as he tells his imaginative stories, most of which he has composed himself. To the delight of his audiences of all ages, he draws from the following sources:

Interactive Stories:

  • Literary Stories
  • Mexican Myths and Legends
  • Tall Tales

. . . and other stories Greg has adapted to his bilingual style. Children participate and in the process learn some Spanish words.

Traditional Stories:

Stories appropriate for library reading programs.

Fun With Alliteration:

A collection of original stories in which every word begins with the same letter of the alphabet.

My Family and I:

A collection of personal stories -- some poignant, some humorous, all mesmerizing -- about growing up in a large family in a barrio in Texas. These stories are excellent for heritage and diversity programs. Their nostalgic aspect has been very well received by adults and senior citizens' groups.

Felo's Friends:

Stories about Gregorio's work in the Caribbean Islands. These are presented for multicultural programs.

Survival/Motivational Stories:

Drawn from Gregorio's experience as a cancer survivor, coping daily with chronic pain. These stories are excellent for caregivers and support groups as well as for conferences and family gatherings.

My Glow Days:

Readings and recitations from Gregorio's popular book of inspirational poems.

Gregorio is equally comfortable with the young and young at heart. He conducts workshops on real-lifestory writing, the art of storytelling and introducing storytelling into the classroom. In addition, as a motivational speaker he is available for meetings, conventions and dinner engagements as well as school programs, fundraisers, and gatherings.
